1969 Jaguar 240 Saloon 2.4 Manual 4Dr Blue/Red leather Classic

1969 Jaguar 240 Saloon

2.4 6-cylinder manual, with overdrive

We are pleased to offer a now extremely rare Jaguar 240 presented in Indigo blue with cherry red vinyl interior – with its 2.4 engine.

The Mark 2 (and 240/340 variants) were produced in 1959 to 1969, with 4,446 240s manufactured between 1967 & 1969. The idea behind the 240 & 340 models was to maximise sales by bringing another, cheaper, more affordable car to the market. Which, in effect, would shift current stock to make way for the successor model, the XJ6.

The cars were priced to compete with the Rover 2000 TC which had produced and sold many more units then Jaguar Cars during the period.

Now, a rare specimen. Many owners over the years removed the 2.4 litre engines as they were deemed underpowered in comparison to the 3.4 litre models.

Superb original Cherry Red vinyl interior with matching coloured carpet, fantastic condition veneer throughout.

Solid bodywork, clean and pit free chrome work, good chrome wire wheels. Shows 48,803 miles.

Mechanically faultless.

A superb entry into real classic Jaguar ownership.

The car will be handed over fully serviced with a UK 12 Month MOT, 2 keys and documents.
